I was wondering what stuff to upload and talk about on the first entry of this blog, and i happened to come across these beautiful campaigns photos. To tell you the truth, it was the sharp and edgy black and white film that caught my attention. They evoke a sense of old-time classic nostalgic, capturing the continuous daily family activities and routines (the photos are taken at the streets and at home) highlighting a sense of haunting repetition in life. The ongoingness happening in every photos emphasis the sophisticated yet simple times. And i love the allure that it entices, it's like diving head-first into a past.
The clothes are rather stylish and modern, but they do contain a hint of vintage and old time classic. It seems like DG is trying to merge 1980s and current modern 2010 together and see a mishmash result -- and it turned out really well i must say. The printed ( i don't know if they are vibrate or not) clothing on Madonna is a win. The florals and the polka dots -- girly, delicate and classy. Some of the printed patterns do give off an edgy feel too. Madonna did an awesome job because she effortlessly pulled off a role of an elegant, divine, strong and admirable woman.
The handsome charming male reminds me of both Nick Jonas and Chace Crawford, it's agonizing just looking at him and sitting in front of my laptop. The suits on him are pretty vintage and classic, and it does bring out a rather exquisite, detailed and superior look.
The overall past nostalgic certainly does worked well as it was reinforced by the clever use of black and white film. Most importantly, it showcased on the simplicity in family life, and bringing it together with sophistication.
Another piece of fashion assignment splendidly completed.
X.
